Aiko Tanaka holds a Master’s degree in Animal Science and has spent more than a decade researching canine nutrition and digestive health. She has advised pet food companies on diet formulation, supplements, and breed-specific nutrition, while also contributing to academic journals on animal health. Aiko grew up in Kyoto, Japan, and moved to the United States to pursue graduate studies; today she lives with her husband, young daughter, and Shiba Inu, Momo. Beyond her scientific expertise, Aiko has a gift for translating complex research into practical feeding advice dog owners can actually use. When she isn’t writing or consulting, she enjoys yoga, cooking, and caring for her family’s small menagerie, which also includes a guinea pig and a freshwater aquarium.
